- Objectives
- The
Exhibition is designed to introduce to the general public
and educational institutions in Jordan the wide diversity of
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes available at a
number of reputable British universities.
This will make
available information concerning entry requirements, fees,
length of studies and a general overview of the cities where
such universities are located. In addition, the following
will constitute the main information that the Exhibition
would provide for the Jordanian public:

To ensure that the participating UK
Universities are within the choices of students when
filling out their UCAS forms. |

The various undergraduate and
postgraduate courses that are offered within the
participating UK universities. |
|

The availability of DL Programmes
at Ph.D. level and in all available fields (this
includes joint supervision), in addition to promoting
the availability of in country delivery of courses.

|
The availability of specifically
tailored courses, particularly courses that incorporate
applicability for developing countries for the private
and public sectors in Jordan.

- The Exhibition also aims
at

Developing
communication with prospective students.
|
|

|
Establishing
contacts with the reputable private schools and
discussing future cooperation in the field of English
training courses for their students.
|
|

|
Providing for
the participating UK universities a venue for
students' recruitment and establishing contacts with
the Jordanian academic circuit in order to facilitate
discussions and negotiations for further cooperation.

|
Providing an
outstanding opportunity for the UK Universities to
become acquainted with the Jordanian education sector
to fulfill their needs.

- Participating
UK Universities
- This Exhibition will
be limited and is specifically tailored for the UK
universities that have cooperation agreements with Bridge
International for Academic
Services.

- Timing of the
Exhibition
Application forms
for the year 2009 entry should reach UCAS between 1
September and 15 December 2009, except for some Art &
Design courses which should be submitted between 1 January
and 24 March 2009. Therefore, the event has been carefully
timed in September, when high school top graders are settled
for the first semester of the scholastic year and are able
to make conscious choices of degree programmes. It is
also good timing for recruiting postgraduate students for
the following year.

Bridge International would
be happy to host representatives who wish to follow-up on
enquiries from the Exhibition, in Bridge International offices

NB. Individual meetings can be held
during the course of the Exhibition between Bridge
International Management and the participating universities to
discuss further cooperation.
Location & Accommodation
The Exhibition will be
held at the kempinski Hotel. Helpful maps, driving
directions and distances, airport services, flight and
reservation information, local weather, as well as
entertainment information are provided at the Secretariat
desk.
Participants may choose
between single or double room accommodations. Extended stays
can be arranged by Bridge International if participants wish
to visit tourist sites in Jordan such as Petra, Jerash,
Um-Qais, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. The hotel offers e-mail,
fax, and word-processing services, plus a variety of
recreational resources for your relaxation, including a
full-service restaurant, lounge bars, indoor and outdoor
pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a fully equipped exercise room.
N.B.
Information regarding the cost of extended stays and the
cost of accompanying spouses can be obtained from Bridge
International upon request.
Travel
For your
convenience, Bridge International provides transportation to
and from the airport as well as all transportation related to
the Exhibition activities. The Secretariat desk may also
assist you to make arrangements with a travel agent regarding
taxi cabs, car rentals, flight confirmations and other related
services.

Desk
The
Exhibition Secretariat Information Desk will be open from 9:00
am to 9:00 pm and will be located in the hotel's main lounge.
The Secretariat will facilitate and coordinate, at your
convenience, all related activities of the Exhibition. Please
check the message board at the Secretariat Desk regularly for
messages and announcements.
- Fees and
Registration
- A registration fee
of £xxx for (for the retainer payee partners), and £xxx (for
the none retainer payee partners) will be charged to
participating Consortium Universities, which includes all of
the Exhibition activities, accommodation for three nights,
three meals per day, refreshment breaks, programme
materials, leaving airport tax, sightseeing in Amman and
surroundings. The cost also covers all various first class
marketing promotional activities and programmes that are
necessary to the success of this event, which will be
carried out by Bridge International, prior to and during
this event. Accordingly, the cost includes taxes, Bridge
International staff support during the Exhibition, the cost
of social engagements in the honor of the UK Universities
representatives (for selected invited guests) and the cost
of all related paperwork. The cost further covers all
related local administrative work (paper work, office work
and related activities) for a follow up between the
prospective students and the UK universities
representatives, attending this Exhibition.
Important notes
The above cost is per one representative from one
university. If more than one representative wishes to attend
this Exhibition, which we highly recommend at this gathering,
the second representative will only be charged
£xxx. Kindly note that the Exhibition is designed and
specifically tailored for the Consortium Universities only.
Therefore, the Exhibition will go ahead as planned and at the
cost stated above on the basis of at least four Consortium
Universities attending. Lower number of Consortium
Universities attending could mean that prices have to be
re-adjusted. All students and institutions
that attend this Exhibition will be exposed to Bridge
International commission in the event of sending students to
the attending universities and irrespective of means of
applying to the universities.

and / or Institutions for interested participating UK
universities. Extra Desk presentations to be run by the
Participating Universities at Bridge
Offices.

Payment
- To register,
please complete the printable registration form in PDF file
and return it to bridge@index.com.jo.
Bridge International will confirm your enrollment in the
Exhibition by return and send you the related invoice and
provide information concerning travel, accommodation and
final registration.
